Course Objectives

On completion of this unit, the learner will have knowledge and application skills in preparing mise en place and be able to apply them to the workplace. This includes:

Course Outline

  • Preparing spices and seasonings
  • Stuffing food
  • Breading and battering food
  • Marinating food
  •  Preparing aromatics (mirepoix, matignon)

Course Duration

56 hours

Assessment

Theory and practical assessments will be conducted.

Certification

Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded the WSQ Prepare Mise En Place 2 SOA issued by WDA.

Course Fee

  • SHA member: $850 + GST
  • Non-SHA member: $900 + GST
